Eaglenest Wildlife sanctuary is a protected area of West Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh which is situated in the Dafla hills, near the boundary with Bhutan. Red Eagle Division of the Indian army which was posted in the area in the year 1950. Eaglenest is bounded by Eaglenest Ridge ( north ) and the Lama Camp area of the reserved forests by the Bugun Community. Eaglenest adjoins Tawang district to North.
     Eaglenest is known as a prime birding site due to the extraordinary accessibility of species. It is one of the most popular Wildlife Sanctuary situated at an altitude of 500 meters. This Sanctuary is India's top bird watching destination with a record of approximately 500 birds species, 34 species of amphibians, 24 species of snakes, 7 species of lizards, 165 species of butterflies. Under Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 as Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary covering an area of 217sq km. It can also be explored on bikes, foot, motorcycles. For a few months in the year jeep and cars are permitted and completely banned through the months of June till October. It is a very nice and adventurous place for birding tours and one can go for long walks on birding trails with the local guides.
     Mandala a birders Paradise located in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh, there is a wide range of forest habitat ranging from altitude of 1500m to 3600m. It is considered as an ideal place for bird photography for both experts and amateurs. Meanwhile, it is also a place where at the top of Mandala the Buddhist construction with 108 sacred hymn encrusted in a circular pattern is best viewed from the top.
     Mane refers " to the prayer of walls". It is a combination of birding tours plus Buddhist pilgrimage. Birding tours though will require you to leave the road and go deeper into the dense jungle. As per records more than 300 species of birds and migratory birds have been spotted. A few years ago, although it was not a designated National Park or Wildlife Sanctuary. But for sure it is a gold mine for photographers and birders as wildlife spotting is much easier compared to other dense areas of Arunachal Pradesh.
     Sela top is a high altitude mountain Pass located on the border between Tawang and West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. Se La, with La means Pass.Sela sits at an elevation of 4170 metres which connects Tawang to Dirang and Guwahati.
     Sela top is a popular tourist attraction point, undoubtedly in Sela you can notice a pool of clouds covering the gaps of mountains, shimmering pine trees covered with snow flakes which will give you a goal to keep travelling. Sela top does get heavy snow during winters. One such famous lake in Arunachal Pradesh is Sela Lake. It is situated 13,700 feet on the top of Sela. Interesting feature of Sela top is that near the summit of the pass around 101 lakes in the area that are sacred in the Tibetan Buddhism. Sela Lake is also called Paradise Lake because of its beauty. It is just a mere 78 km from Tawang town and it has an interesting attraction for the tourists in Arunachal Pradesh.
