Behind The Etymology Of Kaziranga National Park

Etymology of the name “Kaziranga’’ is the existing number of possible explanation derived from local legends and records that one legend, a girl named “Rawnga”from a nearby village and a youth name “Kazi” from Karbi Anglong deeply fell in love with each other. But unfortunately both families did not accept with their match. As such the couple disappeared into the forest and never return back their homes. From that onwards the forest was named after them called as “Kaziranga”.

Me and my four friends, all above 63 Yrs. of Age, had planned a trip from 2nd May to 9th May 2022. The states of North East i.e. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya. The entire tour had to be completed in 8 days. Hence, we contacted Wah Northeast. They arranged our tour for the destinations Manas National Park, Dirang, Tawang, Bomdila, Guwahati, Shilong, Cherrapunji and Dawki. At every destination, we were provided very comfortable accommodations. For commuting we were provided with Innova Crysta right from and back to the Guwahati airport.
